Statement of Purpose

It is our intention to facilitate the provision of assessment, evidence based therapies, mental health promotion and psycho-education to individuals and groups. We wish to extend this provision to individuals deprived of the opportunity because of limited financial means.

We aim to make a service available through the provision of consulting facilities and access to a team of fully qualified professionals. The service aims to provide a sliding scale of charges so that disadvantaged individuals can access therapy through subsidy or with minimal financial contribution.

We believe that an ethos of mutual respect, empathy and empowerment facilitates the therapeutic relationship. It is within this context that psychological assessment and therapy will be offered. After assessment, informed decisions will be made concerning further therapy.

The Ruby Centre will offer support, mentoring, supervision, workshops and training to other professionals, believing that prioritising self-care and accountability in professionals increases benefits for those in their care. Ruby Centre C.I.C. aims to achieve good inter-agency relations through the promotion of clear communication and co-operation. It will seek to optimise opportunities for integrated working through liaison, whilst protecting client rights.
